PLENUM PER UNITA' CANALIZZABILI
Delivery plenum for ductable units (indoor air conditioning units or fan coils) Airmix Smart series.
Airmix plenums allow the air coming from a ducted air conditioning unit to be mixed with the renewal air coming from the HRV system; in this way, a single supply channel is used for each reference area, instead of a double channel.
They are composed of PVC-U plenums with the peculiarity of having a flow separator chamber, with:
- an oval PP collar on a “side” (with a selectable diameter Ø125 or Ø150/160) for the air coming from the HRV system
- gravity dampers for the supply air of the unit (Clima). Each shutter closes the portion of the duct that carries air conditioning when the indoor unit is turned off, preventing unwanted air flow.
The air coming from the HRV unit mixes with the air conditioning immediately downstream of the plenum (inside the flexible pipes).
The plenums are made of thick PVC. 4 mm anti-condensation and external insulation in thick expanded PE. 3 mm They are also supplied with a tailor-made flange for connection to the most common units on the market; this flange is in PVC, in a single block with the plenum and is insulated with thick soft expanded elastomer. 10 mm
The advantage of the PVC version, given the construction material, is to ensure that a clean, extremely robust plenum is maintained over time and guarantees the health of the environment.
The shutters are made of PP, are fixed with screws to the plenum and have PP butterfly flaps, which operate under gravity*, cut to leave a circular segment on the upper part for the air outlet of the VMC. The Ø160 shutters are round; the Ø200 and Ø250 shutters are semi-oval.
NOTE * The degree of opening of the shutters (and therefore the air conditioning flow) depends also and above all on the prevalence of the unit.
The plenum can be fixed to the ceiling with L-shaped adhesive brackets (included), while for tightening with the unit, the use of a strap is highly recommended (not included; on request).
